It's time to taste the Sunshine Coast!
The Curated Plate is incredible 10 day program bursting with culinary experiences from the sea to the hinterland, showcasing the best Sunshine Coast producers, restaurants, farms and tourism operators, beginning on July 29 and running until August 7th. We're very excited to announce that The Nautical will be participating in this year's event, offering a special menu that showcases some stunning, locally-sourced dishes over two courses. Alongside this exciting local menu, we'll be hosting a one-off event; a Sunday seafood lunch experience where the guest becomes the guru. The Nautical in partnership with Phresh Oysters and Daniel Street Seafood Markets present a 2-course seafood lunch experience with a difference. Have you ever wondered what’s involved in sourcing and serving the freshest oyster? Would you like to know more about how to get the best dishes out of a whole fish? We seek to quench your thirst for knowledge whilst filling your stomach with the highest quality seafood. During the first course, you become the expert as our experienced team show you the techniques to shucking your very own oysters for your table to enjoy. For the main course, listen and watch our chefs as they explain the art of slicing and serving fish so next time you know exactly what part of your catch is best for your dinner! Our experienced chefs will walk you through each dish as you learn and taste the different flavour profiles of oysters and different cuts of fish so you can learn to appreciate the nuances. Wash it all down with a recommendation from our Wine List or Cocktails made from Local ingredients.
